You'll need to contact talktalk and get migration autorisation first. Even though you don't use it, your line is split into voice and data at the other end of the local loop and the data bit is currently routed to talktalk's network. It will need to be disconnected from their kit and re-routed to your new ISP.
Ring Talktalk and ask for your MAC plx
It'll depend if the TalkTalk phone is via their LLU operation. If it is, you'd need to get that moved back to BT (or your choice of CPS provider) first.
You need to get a MAC code from Talk Talk for the ADSL service they provide you with, you then give this number to Be when you sign up and they will arange the migration of the data service.
Make sure you explain very clearly to Talk Talk that you still want their voice service or they may cut you off from that given what a reputation they've got for customer service
Need some advice, ive just called talktalk to ask for the mac to move broadband. The guy said cos our voice and data are on the same LLU they can't give me the mac code.
WTF!
I did explain that other people have done it but he said they see those who probably pay extra for the Internet.
Hmmm
Whatveo I do now? You reckon I can email them to ask for the mac code?
