My son is 13 and has a gaming PC and I’d like to upgrade it for Xmas and would appreciate your thoughts on the right spec. We’ve got a friendly PC Shop that will do it but I’d like to get the experts opinions on here to help me decide on direction of travel. His current spec is:

Mother board is the b560m pro-VDH WIFI (MS-7d18)
GPU is the radeon RX 6700 XT
11th gen Intel Core i5
32gb RAM

It stalls loading Flight Sim and FC25 but Fortnite runs fine and he gets good speeds / low ping.

Any help or guidance appreciated.

Thank you.

Flight sim just stalls on start up. I’ve read around and it seems to happen for a number of reasons but can’t nail it down.

Budget is circa £300 but more if we can get a decent deal.

Can you be a bit more descriptive, what does stall mean exactly? Do you get an error message? Does it crash? Which version of Flight Sim is it? I heard that the latest one is having big problems getting people into it because they underestimated how many people would want to play it simultaneously (there was an article on tomshardware I read a day or two ago).
When you go to open the programme it starts to boot up but then stalls and displays a black screen with a small turning circle. Sometimes it does get past this and to the first Home Screen, but then we get a Directx 11 error. It’s so frustrating!
