I dont know how many of you are using BE Internet but thought I'd post some info I've just stumbled across on the BE forums , I havent been on there for a while so maybe this has been posted before.

I've had their service for about 4 months or so and I've had no trouble at all with them and get an average connection speed of 14,545kps on a line attenuation of 12.5/27 which seemed to be pretty good and results in regular d/l speeds of 1.3-1.4 mbps from various sites I use regularly and also bittorrent.
Anyway , something new came my way tonight from reading the forums , "Fastpath" as its called is as easy as creating a ticket in the members area of their site and simply requesting to be switched over to fastpath , basically it turns off some error reporting(FEC Errors) and lowers the snr margin , some people with long lines or noisy lines (ie : high attenuation) may have problems with this , its won't workout for everyone, I created the ticket at 8.30pm tonight , got a reply at 8.55pm , switched me to fastpath before 9.30pm.
Since switching I've gone from 14,545kps to 18,900kps not had any dropouts or problems yet and of course d/l speed has increased to above 1.7mbps , the other interesting benefit has been the lowering and I mean LOWERING of pingtimes in games so much so that I tried various games to make sure I wasnt seeing things , I'm averaging around 10-13ms steady on uk servers which is fantastic. :D
Ok maybe I'm a lucky one and it hasnt caused me any problems (fingers crossed ;) ) but if your a BE user with a good line and already reasonable speeds then it may be worth looking into as it is for free and the level of customer service(altho its only the first time I've had to use it) was excellent.
Hope this helps someone :)

i think when be started up they had that many problems most people were put on interleaved to steady the lines

as a rule you are put on fast path to start with! well i was when i went with ukonline llu and if you have any problems they switch you to interleaved
