BE & Netgear Help

Hi all,

Recently joined BE and i want to use my netgear router rather than the BE box ive looked in the BE box and cant find any login details, i was given an online login for the BE website will that work, i.e [email protected], if not can someone piont me in the right direction please.

There are no login details, read this topic as it will apply to all - http://www.beforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=8214 . Note that if your router is just a DG834G then you'd be better off getting a new one or (Sky DG834GT from the bay) or using the BeBox.

Select "Get dynamically from ISP"
Unless you have a static IP in which case you need to fill out everything including the DNS servers.

Did that on Monday night - it does work well.

Though I used the UberGT firmware and I used the Multimode connection rather than the ADSL2+-Annex M option - the reason - it gave me a faster sync speed.

4.5/0.8 vs 6.1/1.1

Use the DGTeam firmware as the UberGT one hasn't been worked on for some time now.

What will the DGTeam one give that the UberGT won't - I inferred from the threads on the be forums that the UberGT was written for the GT and thus was supposed to be better(?)

edit: I take it that it still has a working NAT firewall?

DGTeam has an updated adsl modem driver which may give you better stability/performance. There's also tons of other fixes/corrections.

I used to use the UberGT but the DGTeam has surpassed it now. If you're going to go through the effort of installing custom firmware, you may as well go for the current best

Is the DGTeam firmware ok for use on the V4?
