Going live on o2 on the 19th and I am looking to get my ST585v6 working rather than the o2 box because I like the use of the DMT tweaking options to get more speed out of the line.

Looking around I've seen people referring to the (unofficial)Be/O2 forums to do this but I can't find it, done a google and nothing obvious comes up so I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. (+ is the DMT tweak going to work on O2 - in theory it should)
 
The 585v6 is what Be sent out. They now send the v7.

Either way, what they send and what you've got should work fine with DMT tool.
 
From memory some of the newer firmwares don't like some/all of the DMT tool features. Obviously 'downgrading' the firmware solves that though.

...and presumably isn't the case with the OP's router anyhow.

Ohhhh didn't realise it was a new version of the 585.

I use DMT atm to get an extra ~ 1Mbps on my line, OK I get a few more errors but it's worth it.
 
Completely agree. At one point I was very tempted to switch to them but then I got offered completely free UKOnline LLU for a year so I went that route :)
