Today Be is proud to launch its new offering, Be pro, which replaces Be office. Those of you who are familiar with our products will know that Be office was our 'small business' package, which included Annex M offering up to 2.5meg upload, 8 free static IPs (up to 16 available) and prioritised member support, all for £75 per month. We've listened carefully to our valued customers, and as of this morning the same product, now called Be pro, is available from just £40 with one static IP, which we think makes it a fantastic value for both small businesses and heavy users alike. Packages with 8 static IPs for £50, or 16 for £60 are also available. Take a look at https://www.bethere.co.uk/broadbandoffice.do and see what you think.

Basically they are now offering upto 2.5mb upload. I hope this encourages more isp's to start offering better upload speeds.

If the customer is willing to pay £40 a month then the ISP would offer higher uploads but the current climate in the UK is the average consumer now sees broadband as cheap and the vast majority of users want to pay as little as possible.

All this extra bandwidth costs ISP's money as you can see with Be charging a premium for it on this package

Depends how many calls you have and if the connection is dedicated to VOIP.

I just wish Ukonline would hurry up and increase their rubbish uploads

I just migrated to Be* this week, but my less-than-brilliant BT line means that I'm only getting 7.5Mbit down / 1Mbit up :( Also means that I'm too far away from the exchange for the Be* Pro otherwise I would have upgraded to that straight away :( :(

It does also mention that if you plump for the higher upload speed it can affect your download speed. But I guess if your on 15mb+ in the first case, you wouldnt mind taking a hit.

For BE pro your line length can be no more than 2000 meters long, not as the crow flys, but how long the cable is.

i think people with uder 30db line attenuation would get BE pro without problems.

they say if you have speeds of + 12mbit you should be able to get 2.5mbit up
