will my Be quiet 650 power zone be up to running a pair of msi 7950's?

other specs are.. fx 6350 2 h/d's ssd on the next list to buy..
1 dvd drive and 6 fans ( 4 have led's )

I would say that you "should" be ok as long as nothing is overclocked. If overclocking though things may be very tight.

ive also got a corsair cx750 which I put in my sons PC would this be a better option?
only reason I never kept the corsair in was the be quiet was modular where as the corsair isint

I would swap them over. The Corsair has 744w on the 12v rails although overall, the Bequiet is a better quality psu (better internals, more efficient). The Corsair would give you headroom for overclocking.
