Greetings all,

My first post on these here shores so if ive made a **** up and put this in the wrong section etc... then my apologies.

Im after a bit of help in regards to the above named Heatsink Cooler. Largely, it is a fantastic product that has provided me with consistant performance, however ive hit a snag. I moved house recently and in the house move, my rig must have received a knock and a shake, and 3 or the 4 rubber bands that hold the fan into place on the heatsink itself have snapped, rendering the cooler useless at the moment.

To replace the whole device seems ridiculous as its only the bands that hold it in place causing the problem, however ive searched high and low for replacements but to no avail. I can find the exact same model of fan, but its advertised as being a case fan and doesnt have the fixtures i require to attach it to the sink itself.

Can anybody give me a push in the right direction?

Just for reference, i did email Be Quiet directly and they were no help at all, basically telling me it was hard luck and to buy another cooler entirely, what fantastic customer service eh!

Yeah, eBay was one of the first places I checked. I can find the exact same model fan as the one that is supplied with the heat sink, but when sold separately it comes with no such attachments. There is a new type of attachment that looks like metal clips as shown on the pro model, which I believe are also compatible as the heat sink h the riveting in the correct place for this, however I can't find those either!

another thought how about gluing some of the things i linked to some black rubber bands like you get on new bicycle iner tubes? a visit to a local cycle shop should yeild you some bands and vulcanising glue for little to no money.
