Be* Setup Times

As title really:

Does anybody know how long it would normally take Be* to connect your line to their system, I know their site says three weeks although is that a worse case time or is that the average.

Want to get Be* at my new flat im moving into at the end of this week but want to know in advance if I'm going to be without broadband for the best part of the month.

normally about 7 working days, well was for my friend who connected with them last month

5 days for me.

About a week for me, asked Pipex for a MAC code on the Monday, this came late on Tuesday and I put in an order with Be as soon as it came through.

The following Tuesday I was online with them ....

That all sounds good then, given that I'm going to be living less than 300M from the exchange I'm also looking forward to getting some good speed out of it

Hah, just phoned BT to get the line in the house reconnected, and aparantly there has never been a phone line in the property

Got to wait 2 weeks for an engineer to come and connect 2 wires so I can get a line, and BT seem to want to charge me £125 for the privilage! : (
