Be are always searching to offer the best broadband, for the best price - bringing all our members sensational value. So from 10th October all Be unlimited members will pay just £18 per month and all Be pro members will pay only £22.

These prices will be available to all new Be members as well so there is no better time to recommend Be broadband to your friends

Be unlimited £18 per month

Be unlimited is one of the fastest broadband products available in the UK. Until the 10th Oct the price was £24 per month for the up to 24 Mbps downstream and up to 1.3 upstream speeds but we have now reduced it to £18 per month. Be unlimited is also a completely uncapped service so members can surf as much as they like and members also have the option of either dynamic or static IP address at no extra cost.

Be pro £22 per month

Be pro has come down in price from £40 a month to just £22. Designed for SME’s and power users, Be pro offers the fastest upstream and downstream speeds in the UK. Using Upload Plus Be pro members have access to up to 2.5 meg up stream using the Annex M standard.

Reduction in the Express Cancellation Charge

In line with these price changes we have reduce the cost of an Express Cancellation for Be unlimited and Be pro members to £40.

When will prices come into effect?

All new members will be able to buy Be unlimited and Be pro for the new prices from 10th October.

All existing members will see the new pricing on their December invoice with a refund to cover the period from 10th October to 30th November.

Members can upgrade to Be unlimited or Be pro at no costs. To upgrade login to the Member Centre and open a ticket requesting your upgrade.

kind regards,

its only going to go down hill once o2 decide to rebrand be* and get their mobile phone users on the service, its just going to become a version of sky with a slightly better service.

I'm very tempted to switch to this!! Apparently the o2 service will be £15 a month for a 20mb unlimited service to o2 mobile customers!!! :D

Finally, it might pay to be with o2 for my mobile!!! ;)

They have to get the money for those price drops somewhere, I would have preferred they keep the extra money and invest it back into the network to be honest.

Guys,

whats the benefit to having a static ip address?

Also received the email above.

Also would the upload plus lower my ping in games? due to the increase in the uploads speeds? i know i will lose some of my download but as im connected at 24.5mbps i can live with that lol

same here

£18 is better than £20

static ip address good for hosting your own unreal tournament servers

dynamic is good for getting back into servers you've been banned from lol

not that i have time to play

//back to work

Static is useful if you plan on using your pc/server for anything on les intarweb, its not a huge issue anyway because you can just use a dynamic dns client.

I'd love to upgrade, but I'll have to wait a couple of months, I've got 2 free months from referrals to enjoy and I'm pretty sure I'll lose them if I go up now.

nice one,

may take them up on pro, any feed back on the upload speed increase as in will it improve pings to servers. Thinking about it, i think it would.

Also as i use windows home server do dish out to the folks an such the upload speed would come in handy.

I've asked to be put on Pro. Average sync rate is 13.5mb. As soon as i get upgraded i'll report back on how much download speed i have lost. :)

I'm a little wary of the price drops - could mean a fall in service levels, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

I've not yet moved into my new flat, but when I do I was planning on getting Be with a static IP. Having the £4/month for the Static IP dropped is great news. Now I can pay £18 instead of £28! Might even go for Be Pro in the hope they'll keep that service the best for longer if/when it starts to slide.

lol my Be internet is activated today, perfect timing, not even used it yet and my opinion of them is already top notch, might upgrade to pro.... is the only advantage of pro the better upload speed assuming your line is capable of the better upload speed?

would an upgrade from unlimited to pro require any downtime?

Exactly... why are they dropping prices to this level (it's a HUGE drop in profits) and how will future service be affected as a result?

Shame their supplied modem is awful, everything is locked away/hidden and is also suspectable to this (make sure the default password is changed)
