im looking for a beast of a silent, yet powerful, CPU cooler. the stock one is quiet but not really silent, so im looking for the most silent one you can get so i can leave computer on at night and not hear it

money not too much of an issue

im leaning more towards the ninja, as i'd prefer to keep away from water and speed-demon.

ok so i need the nija and then what fan to go on that? dont understand how'd that work.

also does it mind that the ninja is kinda of upside down, not lpointing down, but its just as i got the lianli V1000+ the MB is the other way round.

Although the Ninja was designed as a passive heatsink, it isn't rated at CPUs over the Athlon 64 3500+. However, it does come with a 120mm fan that according to Scythe is pretty darn quiet.

so what should i get? im looking at the Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower (Socket 939/754/478/775) CPU Cooler (HS-015-ZA) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Zalman_121.html (top of the page) hows that for noise?

yes get some as5 and put a grain of rice size blob in the centre of the ihs and just screw down

its annoying as you get a lot more then needed of that stuff, although its very cheap i feel like im wasting the rest.

This leads me to beleive however that the stuff needs to be replaced every few months or something, is this true?
