basically i got anice new modular PSU and re-did my case, can anyone else without modding beat my cable management, OR show me how to improve mine?

well i got a new PSU (Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 650W), so i tidies up my case. IMO i think it still looks messy.

there is nothing clean in my room, but atleast my case is haha. its the only thing i vacuum EVER week.

any help on hiding more cables w.o modding the case?

Oh and no i cant close the right hand panel :(

also any idea on closing the back panel?

Thats real tidy m8. wont your hdd go in any further? You hoover your case out every week, thats abit extream isnt it? You should blow your case out, cos hoovering can cause damage to your hardware.

I use a hoover that can blow too, I blow out my case every 1.5 - 2 months.

dont have a blower :(

but i hover my room once a month and my case one a week. shows my priorities :p

and my HDD wont go further due to the fan getting in the way. that was annoying me

id rather no side panel :D

good job pal, but apart from aesthetics whats the point of having tidy cables inside the case other then to improve airflow and then waste what you have saved by cable management by having the side off?

just finished my rig today tho and its nice and tidy

sny reason why you dont mod the motherboard tray ? i take hours managing all my cables (new build in process) and i reckon my newest build will be very very discreet with the cabling by making 3 holes on the motherboard tray

Looks Nice n Tidy to say there is no case mod.

I modded my case and turned the hard drives around like you have.

You can buy right angled sata connectors you know and crimp on low profile power connectors so that you can move the hard drives right up to the fan without the cables touching it.

Great job ;)

Heres mine , bit of a naff photo but you can see the hard drives right in the bay , its an antec 900 btw :D

Not quite as tidy...but then I have 5 Sata HDDs, 1 Sata DVD-RW, 1 IDE DVD-RW, Akasa 21-in-one front bay, SB Audigy Front bay. In the front.

In the back I have TV card, X1950XT, SB Audigy, all with many cables.

And of course, all the power leads from my Hiper Typer-R 580W PSU, and impossible to hide fan cables.

People are far too anal with cable management, as long as the cables aren't whacking into fan blades or blocking 50% width of the case, just push them to the side using tie wraps.

I had to manage mine, the lower 3 HDDs block the front 120mm fan badly enough as it is, so I had to ensure that all of the cables were out of the way to allow air to flow to the CPU...which gets warm...running low 60°C as it is! :(

All I've been doing today is browsing the web and watching videos on my HDD.

Granted it is running stock cooler, but even when I had an after market on one it, it ran rather warm then too.

With 5 HD's no wonder ambiant is so hot, also most of the air on the intake fan is blocked by the HD cages rather than directly over the HD. Exahust is only a little fan also. Temps in my Stacker 810 with 5 HD don't come close to yours

I know, it's a bad case design, but I didn't design it. If LianLi had used the same HDD rack as in the older PC7 then the airflow would be good, but the newer design stops the airflow as you say. Case is a PC B20 A

I have 3xSeagate 320GBs which get hot, direct airflow or not, and 2xSamsung 500GBs which are almost always stay cool/warm not matter how much work they are doing.

I shall probably change it over to my PC7 in a few months when I can...but I liked the quietness of this case, even though the airflow/cooling is poor.

I'd rather buy a new, larger LL case, but at the moment can't afford one. :(

It's the same design as the B20A ;)

Done it fine before, but I was looking to sell the PC7, nobody bought it, so am thinking about changing back to it.

Different system in it, but as you can see the HDD rack is a lot smaller and allows for better airflow, as does the 120mm rear fan. The only problem with the PC7 is cable management isn't as easy as it is on the B20A.

lol bfg, thats a good point. LOL

i need some help to force it then.

also good point about the cooling being bad with my side panels open, time to close, but i love looking at the inside, (its like porn :D).

and i dont mod, becuase i am saving for a 4850 (money is there, but waiting for the his ICEQ) AND an antec 1200, so that would cut my budget :(

actually, once i closed the case, my temps for NB and RAM dropped a good 7C, but now i cannot see insde :(

maybe i need a window? (which would then eat my budget :()
