Beat the VAT Increase - Order Now and Save!!

With VAT set to rise to 20% on January 4th, we will all soon be paying more for most consumer goods.
To work out what any new cost will be after the VAT rise, multiply the current price by 1.021. So an Aurora PC from us which currently costs £868.27 will cost £886.50 after the VAT rise. That is an increase of £18.23, so save money and buy now!

When VAT was dropped to 15% it was hardly noticable (although a 2.5% VAT change in our favor) I guess it really depends on what you purchaced as the more you spent the bigger the saving then and the more you spend the bigger the extra charge will be come January.

Has me wondering how many retailers will end up just absorbing the 2.5% rise too encourage consumer's too still make a purchace, add to that January SALE's , unless your desperate for something or see a bargain, can't be that bad an idea to wait and see.

Not one for panic buying, unlike all the shoppers currently stripping the supermarket's just because of a little snow :p

As you said when it dropped to 15% it was hardly noticble, the increase from 17.5 to 20 in theory will be similar, although paying more is always going to be worse, but £2.50 in every £100 isnt going to be that bad and if it will help sort the mess the state is in then im all for it

As for the panic buying at supermarkets its christmas for gods sake, everyone always goes bloody mental for some reason, me included! for example ive bought 2 x 6pint milks rather than 1 4pint and 1 2 pint milk, why? ive no idea :) it will just be wasted more than likely
