I was just browsing my steam library as i have a new account due to being out of the PC gaming loop for a couple of years, and since January have somehow created a behemoth of a backlog to work my way through, and i was wondering how big a backlog you guys all have and progress you've made/games you've discovered and maybe turn what may seem a chore into abit of a game/competition.

The game
You start out with 0 points from the point you specify, could be the beginning of the year of the time of your post, for every game you add to your backlog you -1 point and if you complete a game you +1 point and try and aim to achieve the highest score you can or just use it as a way to track your progress (or massive spendings ;) ) i think this could be a fun way for us to compare progress and if a fair few people update stats i may throw in a few steam keys as prizes.
EDIT: Regarding multiplayer games or games that have no end game to check it off playing it to a level you believe satisfy's you being "finished" gives you another redeemable point ;)!

An example layout of a post would be;

Games Purchased:
??????
??????
??????
Games Finished:
??????

Score:

I'll be starting off with this months purchases and alongside the competition would like to keep this thread open for backlog discussions or anything related to that big fat pile of games waiting to be played! :rolleyes:

A strange game... the only winning move is not to play...
(or complete everything)
Surely it could be +2 for every game you complete so the highest score isn't 0?
Its a hard game to win! and you would be right but that would be presuming that in your library you have no other backlogged games, i didn't say you couldn't play games you purchased before the time of your post/start playing :)

damn, most of my backlog is Bethesda, farming sim and various other games that don't really have a specific 'yes you've done 100% of everything' tag. i'm going to lose this no matter how hard I play :(

Just given me a thought, i'll change the rules regarding these sorts of games and the concept of beaten for this would be playing it to a level you believe satisfy's you being "finished" with said game :) hopefully should clear confusion with multiplayer games

I do this sometimes, but I usually put it up to vote which games I should play first. As a result I ended up completing saints row 3 and doing my best to get through dead space 2 before I couldn't take the ubearable tension anymore! I like this idea though. Gets everyone involved. I'm game!
