Apparently the Solo2's are not as bad as they used to be, I think inner fidelity said they actually sounded ok (im probably wrong)
Having tried them myself I can confirm that the quality of the sound is surprisingly good, considering the horror stories that I've heard. I'm not a fan of the tuning and I wouldn't consider them a patch on my AKGs but I now understand why they are as successful as they are.

The only way these will sell is

a) Bribe those in the Sound City sub section to say they have improved and are great value for money.
b) Convince enough OCUK staff to defend the product
c) Just give them away.

I'll stick to my AKG 7xx thanks.

Are we going to see apple phone here soon? LOL!They are pure money maker head set same as apple. Imo in that price you can get better sound quality. I did always came here because value for money and best products in IT but dont go this way guys please. This headset next to your products looks so bad! Dont go Biber way guys haha. Anyway GG on this headset. It should go with each parcel you send same as Haribo as to make them cosT same hahah.

Use the Solo2 wireless and the Solo2 for my everyday out and about headphones, perfectly good :).

(I've owned them for a while and got them elsewhere)

Yes I believe I read such an article ...think it was via a link on Facebook...it did also question the audio quality too..I think time magazine did a review of 18 sets of headphones last year and the Dr Dre ones came in at 17 , Sure came in at number one out of the ones they tested

Yeah the article says "Experts suggest" which basically means they asked someones opinion and got it.

That said Things are worth what people pay for them.

Or people search for them see we are cheapest and buy them.

I got a suitcase of these things from Turkey for £3.33 each and they sound bassy and look identical lol. I gave them all to kids in party bags.

Plus, how many of your customers actually check out the forums first before making a purchase? I would guess not many.

I think you're wrong, maybe not new customers but I'm sure most existing customers check the forum. Of which there are many.

Of course, anyone who already is on the forum, will more than likely return here. For the potential new customer, I'm not sure many will be coming here first.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if people keep ordering from OcUK but have never visited here.

I can only speak from experience here but certainly I look for advice on here and non forum members I know have done too.

The forum is a great place for hardware advice, as friends and acquaintances have looked for hardware advice and problem solving, however none of them (bar one) have signed up due to other aspects of the forum.

I frequently advise people to use the website for anything computer related (my dad's office and their friends) have all used the site as a direct response to my advice.

So I do think people use the forum for advice, but I would question how many sign up due to other aspects of the forum.

Recently I've stopped buying exclusively from Overclockers and purchase things elsewhere, whichever works out better value unfortunately now.

We still sell nvidia cards despite that subs best efforts :D

We've had feedback that some people find the forum a bit elitist, So I don't know. Sure you guys are a massive part of our thing and we take all the good (and bad) that, that comes with. but we sell a lot of gaming headsets regardless of the valiant efforts of sound city.

Krakens are a best seller for example

we sell more Asus Strix than we have HD 598's despite people saying how good the HD 598 are for gaming.

Marketing has a massive influence on peopels purchases.

We have sold over 500 Modmics since JAnuary though :D and over 200 Zalman clip on mic's so there is defnitely a market for audio grade headphone gaming.
