I mean GD is rife with differing opinions some more vocal than others.

Asides treat it as a challenge. You can convert them into people you love :)

Perhaps we can give them their own subsection in the Apple forum ^^

I do think you're being a bit harsh though, They are tuned for a specific sound and they are expensive but that's about it Plenty of people who have Good headphones can still be morons :D.

When I saw the thread title I did instantly think "here comes the hate train" and the thread delivered in spectacular style.

Beats Solo2 are not that bad, and quite frankly it could be much worse, they could be stocking Street by 50....

Yes, well the early beats were. I bought a pair from the bay (£20?), and my brother had genuines and I did enjoy mine better.

However, they're just over the top bass heavy which appeal to a lot of people, but doesn't suit me, enjoying my sony's currently. Beats are about 40% too expensive to compete with other decent brands in my opinion.

The reaction here & GD is great though. :p

Well for me personally I want iOS so that rules them out. If it wasn't for that then I'd get the S6 Edge as it's the best Android phone at everything bar battery life, I suppose.

Marketing is a science people literally can't help it.

Impulse buys in shops aren't accidental either. People are targeted with specific adds all day long. you might not be a sucker for dre beats but I highly doubt you've never been had by some form of decent advertising. (samsung/apple phones) Nike trainers instead of hi techs. Levis jeans what ever it is I know and you know you've bought it for it's appeal and paid for its perceived value :) OFcourse you might be one of those frugal hippies but I doubt you'd be on a computer enthusiast website.
