BeBox Alternatives

Hi,

I have had Be for about 2/3 years and the BeBox that they supplied is playing up. I am having to restart it on a regular basis so I am looking for something to replace it.

Anyone offer any ideas for a affordable replacement?

Be will send a new one, all you have to do is ask..

Aye, give BE a call to see if they'll send you a new one before spending any money.

Also just a warning the Bebox isn't actually yours, so if you ever decide to leave Be* they will charge you something like £35 as a re-stocking fee for the router if you didn't send it back.

So even if you don't want another Bebox it might still be a good idea to get in touch with them and see what they say about it.

I've been with Be since Mar 07 and have been plagued with restarts on my box (Speedtouch 780) and have asked over the last year and a half for a new box, still not got one though......

Thought they had stopped issuing the 780WL years ago. I had to buy mine at auction - Great router (Broadcom chipset - a must) and voip phone can't be bettered for speed pity about the interface or lack thereof

I know it says this in the T&C but do you know of this actually happening?

I still have my old Speedtouch 780 from when i left Be* when i moved from my old flat. Then i lived elsewhere with VM Cable before moving back to Be* again (and they sent a new router).

I'm pleased i was able to keep it, it has two FXS VoIP ports which come in handy!

Get a DG834GT (probably need to get a second hand one now) as they are excellent on BE

Odd, everyone on the forums who's requested one has got one.

It's true that the box is bes, they send a pre-paid bag out for you to return it when you leave/get replacements.
