bebox auto reboot

Noticed that my connection is dropping out at least once every other day but it doesn't appear to try and bring itself back up, the lights all look normal but no internet connectivity.

Is there a way to get it to auto restart?

Also is anyone else finding their bebox to be extremely flakey?

i turn mine off when its not in use so its gets rebooted daily anyway. there have been quite a few occaisons where i have turned it on and it hasn't booted properly. it can sometimes take quite a while to sync up to the exchange too. once its 'up' though it seems to be okay. i *wish* i could get my netscreen firewall working on the service, but it's not compatible

My Bebox was flaky as hell, rarely more than 6hrs uptime.

Now using an ex-Sky DG834GT flashed with the ubergt firmware and hasn't gone down in two weeks

Mine seems fine, is your connection quite new? Maybe its still settling down.

Ive been with be, maybe 4-5 months, and ive only had to do maybe 5 or 6 re-sets.
Ive only once or twice had to re-set for a problem thats not my fault, the rest of the times its due to me tinkering with my network, swapping ports etc.

edit: turn your bebox upside down, it keeps much cooler that way.,,,they do have overheating issues.

Mine used to crash when it was a bit windy outside, probably working hard to keep the connection alive.

Hah... might have to turn it upside down, its currently on top of a little teminal/pc downstairs at the moment.

Yea its a new connection so maybe it is still trying to sync its self out properly but its getting quite frustrating.

What i would really love is to have a basic modem with ethernet to replace the bebox as i have a WRT54G with ddwrt all setup which runs beautifully, its just the bebox which lets the team down
