BeBox - can it be set up manually?

My friend is trying to set up the BeBox router, and it seems to have gone wrong. She can't log into the router either (the standard username (Administrator) and no password isn't working).

If I manually reset the router, can I configure everything manually? Does anyone have the necessary settings?

Is she using IE7 to try and access the bebox? as this will not work without a workaround. Try firefox or opera and it should work.

Yeah you can set it up manually. basic settings are

vpi 0
vci 101
Multiplexing Method LLC Based

Thats all you really need

And there is no need to specify a username or password on Be either.

If you're still having trouble have a look around the offical Be userforums, I think there are links to the router profiles on there so you could just reset them, failing that just give the memebr helpline a call and they could send them to you.

Also when you are done have a read on the offical forums about how to delete all the backdoor accounts and make the BeBox secure.

Can I use this thread to ask, is it possible to use OpenDNS with the BeBox?

I've had a look in the config, but I can't see any DNS settings...
