BeBox (Speedtouch 585) slow network transfer

Hey,
Streaming content between my computers and consoles has always been stuttery for me. File transfers over the network between newly installed Windows 7 computers go at no more than 800 kb/s. (For reference, transfers within the computers go at 35 mb/s+)

Also, my bebox likes to die quite a lot. I.e. It will just turn off and restart, even when just browsing webpages.

Could anyone advise me on solutions?
