Ok, I totally knackered my double bed after a drunken........well, nevermind, the less said about that the better :p Point is, my bed is broken and I need a new one. Has to be a double bed or bigger to accomodate my student needs ;) And I would prefer to have some sort of storage or something underneath, or at the end to store a few clothes. I've seen cool shaped ones before but no idea where to even look. I looked on the ikea website but nothing really took my fancy.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Beds are very personal things, probably the most comftorbale are going to be a divan of upward of £500 inc matress, our is from Ikea and is kingsize, its one of them low ones with the edge going around it so the matress sits down into the frame, the bed frame with matress was nearly £450 and is very comftorbale, I have had a few beds and i would never get a normal double for 2 people, it would have to be a king the extra space is great. Beds themselves arent expensive its the matresses that whack up the cost, you could find a very nice looking silver framed bed for around 150 quid but the matress is likely to cost at least another 150-200 for a semi descent king.

I have never ever liked the look of divans (the ones with draws under them) to me they just look plain, i would always try and find a nice looking bed frame over a horrid divan.

Where do you buy the bedsheets from???

You would probably have to get them purpose made, i cant imagine the actual quilt would be circular as you would never get one, the undersheet would have to be i suppose, thats a horrible design for a bed anyway. The actual usable width is quite small.

On a sidenote of beds does anyone here use an electric blanket? We just bought one last week and its fantastic, one of the best things i have bought in a while.
