I've recently got a new job that means staying overnight in a lot of hotels and im worried that my fitness might start to drop from not being able to exercises so i was just wondering if anyone had any tips or ideas for basic ideas for exercises that can be easily done in a hotel room.

Thanks a lot

Sit ups, push ups.

You can try and hold your torso 45 degrees of the ground for as log as you can, leg lifts etc etc.

If it's fitness and not strength & muscle mass surely you could just go running.

If It's strength there are many bodyweight exercises you can do, Chong posted an excellent set of links a while back, I'm sure he'll be along shortly to help you out with them.

Dips between chairs,

Do tricep dips on the floor with your gf sitting on your chest - This works well, gets blood flowing much faster too :D

Bed presses!!

Grab the chair or the table, get on the bed and press it baby yeah!

Also -

overhead press. again grab the chair or the table and press it above your head
assisted pullups - get under the table, hang onto the edge and pull yourself up
elevated pressups - feet on bed / chair / table - do pressups
squats - chair over head, squat
tricep dips - feet on table, hands on chair arms, dip!

rah!

agree with the running but try to keep ROAD running to a minimum as it is proven to be detrimental to your knees

The biggest thing you can do is to watch your diet.

After living out of hotels for several periods during my last job, I can safety say that you can really let yourself go on the companies expenses if you want to!
