1 long beep, 2 short ones. my computer does this randomly but usually works shortly after, however now it won't turn on for 24 hours. digging around i found this was display related, i took the card out and cleaned it off of any dust, stuck it back in, still does it. i tried turning the machine on with no card at all, same beeps. the card LOOKS perfectly fine, no damage, no marks, no massive burn holes. any idea? is it just a new card? or is it something worse?

i've got a feeling the mainboard isn't reading it properly or something. the beeping starts immediately when i hit the power button, and won't respond to anything except hitting the button again. it does this with or without the card, been cleaned, seated properly, i've taken the power cables from the board and made sure it is all clean and put them back in again. still nothing. no damage in sight anywhere.

Is it 'One long beep and two short beeps then repeat' or 'One long beep then two short beeps followed by silence'?

If it's the latter then it's a BIOS issue rather than the graphics. Have you tried resetting the BIOS?

Sorry my replies are sporadic now. I was using my laptop to resolve this. But now that doesn't work either. The battery was low so I plugged the charger in, the light on the charger came on, I plugged it into the machine and the light went off, and so did the laptop. So. Great.

Anyway the beeping on the desktop repeats endlessly and nothing comes on the screen. Stays black.

Geez do you emit EMP's or something? :P Jokes aside it does sound like a expensive month for you and sorry to hear about all your gear. Make sure you check out the Members Market on here for a replacement.
