I went to the butchers and picked up a nice rack of beedf ribs. I'be never cooked ribs before so looking for some tried and trusted advice on how to season, cook and what to serve with, any suggestions?

i cooked a rib joint last week

remove from fridge several hours before
preheat oven to 220deg
season with salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil
sear all sides on a griddle pan
put in oven and reduce temp to 180deg
cook for 30 mins per kg for medium

was yum :)

Personally I would slow cook then in a baking tray shallow filled with water and covered with foil. 3 or 4 hours at 140degC then take out cool and marinade in home made barbeque sauce. Then cook hot and fast and serve, maybe on a bbq.

Did this last week - but at 160c for 3 hours in .... coke... then on the bbq worked well.

I found a rub recipe on a BBQ site, marinated overnight then cooked on 140 for 2.5hrs. Would Ave cooked a little longer but the gf was impatient for meat.....should have distracted her in another way. Will most up pics next time....

1) Kansas city dry rub.
2) Jack Daniels Glaze
3) Over 2-3 hours cooking time @ about 150.
