He's making the point that the beef packet has sucked itself in yet the fishes packet has blown itself up :D

Beef does that because its got blood and juices to deal with and its vacuum packed while the cod is just chilling, no need, he has no blood just some white tasty muscle meat.

Shame he is not deep fried
 
Well, being that they're vacuum sealed, I really doubt that the variability of fauna has any bearing on the internal equilibrium of your fridge.
 
It could be "Blowfish" or "Puffer Fish"?
