In a fit of madness, I decided a laptop and xbox 360 would be enough and that I no longer needed a rig. So I ended up selling my i7 2700k setup last week at quite a loss.
A week later I've realised I did'nt need a rig just for gaming/work etc but also because the rig was my hobby- tinkering, overclocking etc etc
Now I'm in the silly position of putting it back together as cheaply as possible. I'm tempted by picking up the g1 guerilla x58 board on offer then scouring the mm for an i7 920 (last one sold for £67). Seems that will be my best bang for buck whilst still being kinda beastly with triple channel ram and full sli support etc whilst being bloody cheap.
Any advice on what you would do? Bear in mind the look of the motherboard is very important ie why I like the look of the g1 series from gigabyte as it matches my case!
