So guys, its been a while since I did this overclocking business...

Just going to say what gear I have got, ask what could upgrades I can get (thinking about going for 8gig of RAM), and what speeds I should be aiming at to get a stable overclock... I run windows 7 home premium on two monitors (24" widescreen and 19").

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.4ghz
Mobo: Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2
RAM: GeIL Black Dragon 4x1GB PC2-8500C5 1066MHz DDR2 Dual Channel
GFX: Asus GeForce GTX 260 Glaciator+ 896MB GDDR3 PCI-Express
PSU: Akasa AK-P010FG-BK 1000W PowerMax Power Supply

Any other information you need?

What kind of speeds should I be looking at? I know that when I bought the Q6600 that it was supposed to have very good potential for overclocking, and apparently this graphics card to... I have good cooling in the case and a MASSIVE heatsink on my CPU, the graphics card is running with its standard fan etc.

Cheers in advance guys!

P.s. its been a while so expect lots of questions!

Very few things need more then 4Gb's of ram plus you'd be buying almost obselete DDR2 ram, personally i would'nt bother. Regarding the CPU overclock i'd exspect 3GHz as a bare minimum, should do 3.2 it might do 3.4 dependant on cooling and the limits of the CPU of course. Only thing i'd upgrade and that only if you play games is the graphics card. If you don't play games i'd say save your money and save up for a i7 or i5 move sometime later.

Only just got the graphics card, my other one died unexpectingly, wont be upgrading till after Christmas by the looks of it now. Just wondering what the clocking potential was going to be, think I will just get a new CPU MOBO RAM combo after christmas seeing whats about then!
