Having a right mare with Win 10 which looks like it will only work properly if I install from scratch rather than upgrade. So looking at man maths I might as well bring the hardware up to date as part of the re-install.....

Only things I'm looking to upgrade would the the mobo, cpu, gfx and memory. With an addition of water cooling. I think my Seasonic 850w should still be juicy enough?

I currently run an i7-3770k @4.5, 16GB Samsung Green, 2x7950 Xfire and an Asrock Z77 Extreme6.

I think I'd also look to come away from air cooling as I've stuggled a bit in the summer with gpu temps.

I run 3x24" Dell U2412M (1920x1200) and like to run Eyefinity in 6000x1200 (inc bezel compensaton) which has been fine to now with what I play on the 2x7950's.

Ideally I'd like to go down to 1 gfx card but I'm probably still looking at crossfire for that res? Don't mind on ATI or Nvidia, though ATI drivers have been giving me a bit of grief recently on Win 10. And if possible one that supports 3xmini DP as current have to run 2x mini dp and 1xdvi.

I'm grateful of any recommendations as what I should be looking at, ideally budget around 1k but can go to 1.5k if needed, been out of the loop for a while in all things PC hardware so looking for some starters for 10!

Many thanks
Neil

Just a note on your GPU point I have recently moved away from multiple cards having spent the last 4/5 years running sli then crossfire 2 x 7970's then 2 x 390X's and have given up on the messing around which is a shame but enough was enough.

I have 3 monitors and I am now using a 980Ti and its been trouble free so far ( my single 390X was also trouble free on my previous monitors ) being on a single card .... I did also run a single 390X while I was going through selling both of them as a monitor upgrade forced me to sell both 390X's as I needed 3 x Display Ports for my new screens ..

As for the monitor connections do you really need 3 x mini display ports on the GPU ?? you could just use one of the Display Port to Mini Display port cables ?? just a thought as each of my new Dell's came with one of these cables.

I know I have gone backwards a bit going from 2 x 390X's but I am not seeing any real issues.

Thanks mate - sorry, no don't need 3 mini dp, just want them all dp in one way or another, don't want to use hdmi (screens don't have it) or DVI. Appreciate your experience with the GPU, I appreciate with replacing 2 cards and having 3 screens I'd need to go reasonably high spec and the 980Ti was one I was looking at amongst others.
