Been given a hacked xbox - can the hack be reversed?

A friend has given me his old xbox as he's gone over to PS3. He's told me it's hacked to play coplied game but not blocked by microsoft as he's not been online since having it hacked.

Can this process be reversed so I can sign upto XBL?

Not going into detail... it was one of those probe things that reads something then exchanges it for another something.

I'm annoyed really as he said I could have it before the hacked the damn thing!

As far as im aware as long as you dont play copied games it shouldnt get banned even if it is flashed, mind you I could and probably am totally wrong

You can revert what he's done.

Lets hope it hasn't been flagged for a ban though, if not you are fine!

As far as I know he's never used it online. It's practically un-used really.
