.. is it still edible?

A guy at work came off his bike a few months back, and is having a break from the gym. He has given me half a tub of MP whey protien, the 'use by' is this month.

So, can i have it or not? And how long for?
 
Will it still be ok in a few months, as its one of those massive 10L tubs and will take me a while to finish
