Been in a technology coma!

Hi all,

Last built a pc about 2 years ago now and its starting to slip a fair bit.

Need to know where to start as ive fallen behind somewhat (used to be right up to date on latest specs

)

Current system is Sempron 2800 (clocked at 2.2ghz) socket a, a crud pcchips M/b 1.5gb 333mhz ram, AGP X800xt PE GPU, just got a 19" w19b HP monitor.

Where do i start!

I really can't be bothered to build pc's anymore although i know it will be cheaper, its not the building that bothers me its the speccing new components and checking if they work ok together etc

so is this system any good??

This one (based on Conroe) is the better of the two, admittedly it does cost about £90 more but the performance benefit should be worth it. You might be able to build cheaper yourself but if you don't want to then it isn't a bad system at all.

Very true.

I do love building my own system, but I can understand those that dont want too.

However, Conroe is the way to go.

Yeah, go for the Core 2 Duo. Although if I were you, I'd build pretty much the same spec for myself and get a bit better GFX card with the money saved by building for yourself. I don't know anything about that mobo with regards to overclocking, either, if you wanted to do that
