been long time since i have set up a cisco router from scratch

i have a cisco 877 and have got new flash card in and have the advance ip IOS

i am useing HyperTerminal and im at

Rommon>

every time i press enter it gos rommon 1>
then rommon 2> etc etc

i can not remmber how to do this from rommon mode i know theres few cisco people on here just asking for help

and il take all the noob insaults lol

Rommon mode is just for diagnostics and troubleshooting for example for resetting the password of the router etc. I'd try a reboot of the router, and if its still coming back in rommon mode then its possible its not booting the boot image from flash. Maybe the flash is corrupt or you have multiple images that you need to select which one to use.

it has no image to boot from as the flash card was replace
