Are these good clocks : 632/791

or can i go higher, the temps are about 49c idle 55c max load.

Whats the safe temps for these cards and whats a good and normal overclock for these...

Useing stock heatsink aswell hehe....

Plays CSS Source @ max everything apart from HDR @4xaa/16xaf

:)

keep temps below 65c and your fine.

those clocks seem to be good so far. try and aim to get more from the ram, my old 7600gt want to 865 on the ram, and that gives the card more memory bandwidth which these cards do benefit from.

Haven't tried to push the clocks high as its been used in a HTPC setup(like to play the odd game on it too) the case is a tight one(Silverstone LC11) and my temps are hanging around the 45-50 idle and 65-70 under load with a Zalman VF700 cooler, as I've said airflow is limited as can't have loud fans Pc under TV at what point should you be getting worried about the temps, my bro's 6800GT went to 105 last week and then packed it in....

keep load temps below 70c, aiming for 65c idealy.

you brother was just a muppet for letting his card die like that. although the cards don;t throttle till they hit 115c or there abouts its still dangerous temps to be dealing with.

all i can say is stick to what you have on the core now, but try for more on the memory. max out as high as you can on the ram then test to make sure its stable at those high memory speeds. once you have found the stable point, stick to those clocks and go out and buy a pack of ram sinks and slap them on the card just to make sure that your card never has any problems even when summer kicks in.

thats what i did, clocked ram and found it to be stable at 865mhz, but did not want to use 3rd party overclocking software and coolbits only allowed me to get to 840mhz which i decided to stick with. few days later i stuck on my ram sinks and left it at that, the memory barly even gets warm under intense ram sessions, the heatsinks were just there to prolong the life of the card.
