As per the title. Not gamed on a PC for years. Want to play latest COD to a decent level.

I have this aging PC:

Intel Core i7 960 3.20GHz Bloomfield Quad Core
OcUK H2 Flo Liquid Extreme Cooler
12GB (3 x 4GB) Kingston HyperX T1 Black DDR3 1600MHz (PC3 12800) Triple Channel (9-9-9-27)
ASUS Xonar DG
Foxconn Flaming Blade GTI X58 (Socket 1366) Motherboard
OCZ ZS 650w Bronze 80+ Rated Power Supply
OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD (and 2TB non SSD HD)
HIS ATI Radeon 6870 1GB

Monitor is Hanns.G HG281D 28" Widescreen LCD Monitor (1080p)

Wanting to spend around £200 on a new graphics card. What can you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Oh my... it's a PC time capsule. :D

And you only want to spend £200, I think you need to add another zero to that.

Maybe a GTX 1660 or RX 580.
Kind of pointless installing anything more powerful really.

First thing you should do is spend £20 or so on an X5650 or better (assuming your mobo supports it, most X58's do).

I am running one clocked to 4.4Ghz and it chews up any modern game that supports multi-cores.

I am totally GPU bound (1070) at the moment.

Adding onto that you should also probably replace the power supply before upgrading. that is assuming its more than 7 years old?
