Hi people,

I've been out of the PC business for quite a while - the PC I had was this -
Intel Xeon Socket 771 - 3.2GHz (2 processors)
4 GB Standard RAM
8800GTX

to this -
Windows 8.1,
250GB hard drive & 2TB hardrive,
AMD FX4300 quad,
HD7870 Graphics card ( xfx black edition ),
960GM/U3S3 FX motherboard
8GB DDR3 ballistix traceer RAM

My questions are as follows:

1. I'm looking to play games I loved in the past now I can play them as they should be played I.e. Crysis - but when I come to buy it you can buy codes for 'Origin' - is this just like Steam?

2. I remember years ago using a 80mm to 60mm convertor for the CPU fan - are they worth it as the one on this PC is a bit on the noisy side - so I would like to buy a nice and quite 80mm fan for it?
Does anyone know of any decent quiet fans? This looks pretty decent -

3. There are 2 spaces vacent for 120mm fans - one on the side and one on the rear does anyone know of any decent quiet fans? These look alright -

4. Is about the Windows on it - It's 8.1 and from what I can see it's a dodgy copy? I'm not sure? What will happen if I validate it? Or should I buy a proper copy of Windows 7 that I'm used to and go back to that?

Thanks a lot people!

1) Origin is basically EA's version of Steam as far as I know.

2+3) I have a couple of 120mm BeQuiet fans in my systems and I've been really impressed with them so far. Would it not be easier to switch the CPU cooler if the current one is noisy?

4) If you don't activate it then it will stop you logging in eventually I suspect

Cheers for that - I don't really want to change the whole CPU cooler on it as it's running quite cool at the minute so I'm just thinking of changing the fan to make it quiet?

fair enough :) The PWM fan should do the job then, I really like rubber edge on the surround of the bequiet fans, pretty much completely eliminates vibration for me in top of my case (Corsair 600T) :)
