Sorry seems to be a few of these posts but I can't decide where to rebuild my PC or just upgrade some of the parts.

This is my current spec

i7 930
Gigabyte X58-UD3R
6Gb DDR3 Triple Channel "Patriot" Ram
5770 Vapor X
64Gb SSD
Corsair 600 PSU
Antec P180 Tower

At the moment the gcard is a major issue really needs replacing but I have tried to crossfire on this Mobo before and the slots are to close.

So do I just spend a nice chunk of cash on a Gcard and be done with it or do I use what I have and upgrade Mobo, Chip, Ram, Gcard ???

I would look at upgrading the Gpu, depending on what games and res. you play at.
Is your 930 OCed?
There are some good deals at the moment for 670`s and 7950`s or even the VTX3D 7870LE.

I have had the 930 OC'd its running stock at the moment.

I was considering just throwing in a 670 but was worried the rest of the kit might be a bottleneck for it

With a stable OC around 3.8Ghz, I doubt it would bottleneck. If you get a 670 and find it does, then upgrade the Cpu.
But you could ask in the Graphics or Cpu forums for better clarification.

a nice 7850/7950 would suit you tbh,esp with the current deal on

everything else would be ok imo, till skylake arrives then I would upgrade

3.8ghz should be do able,if you need settings I can help you

not with your current setup,it would be quicker but theres new cards coming out soon

a 7950 would be best imo but its up to you at the end of the day

I own both a 7850/7870 and tbh the 7850 is plenty, but that's with a 2600k @ 4.5ghz idk if your cpu would give less gaming performance,if it did it wouldn't be much less

There are some real bargains on the HD 7950s at the moment.

Right just bought the MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III should keep me going for a bit.

Will look at overclocking the i7 later

vtx is good for the price, the msi does have a better cooler though

plus it can be overclocked just the same

my 930 @ 3.8 and a 7950 eats anything including metro at 1080p.... maybe if you game at higher resolutions then a full rebuild could be in order.
