i5-3570k CPU currently fitted.

Thanks guys, built this up years back and been out of the pc loop since.

What are my options and thanks for help, appreciated.

I7-3770k or the Xeon E3-1290v2, not much of an upgrade really..

CPU change makes sense only if you get it for pocket money.
Quad core is outdated/very low end for any demanding workloads, no matter if it has HT or not.

Overclock it to 4.4 if its not already !
