Been out the game for too long...

Hi all,

I have been away from computer building for too long, its been about 4 years and everything has moved on so much!

So whats the best mobo for this planned build?

CPU - i7 2600k 3.4 Quad
GPU - AMD 6950 (This is a good card? best bang for buck?)
SATA III SSD
8GB RAM
Which MOBO???

I was in the same boat as you mate! I use to build a new rig every 12 months, but havn't built one for 4 years.

It's surprising how things move on with SSD's etc!

I was going to go for a 2600k, but went with the 2500k in the end which seems like a great chip compared to my old Q9450 it replaced. Also saved me some cash!

I went for

2500K (got it clocked @ 4.7ghz at the moment)
MSI Z68 GD80
8GB Corsair Vengence C8
GTX580
OCZ Sata3 SSD

Really impressed with the Z68 board!
