Was processing as normal tonight and thought I put some ideas down that been flowing around in my head to see and came out with this and I really liking it.

Yeah, nice Ray, i like your 'normal' style, but this is more subtle, but yet, seem to still 'pop'.

I don't think you could mix the 2 styles in one set though? (not that i am sugesting you will be ;))

Also noticed you have started removing your exif data?

I like it, it does work, and just trying it out in all kinds of conditions....and it is up to the job...even the disco shots!

Granted, without the saturation of the other processing it doesn't have that punch with the disco light but it still work when it is all seen as a set.

I won't mix them, it are opposite in quite a few ways and it would clash. However, it does work, and in something like a portraits, engagements sessions or some individual shots, this would be lovely. Who knows, may be one day I may do it for the whole wedding if it suits.

As for Exif lol, I ticked the "minimise EXIF" box for something else a few weeks ago for reason that I forgot but not unpick it. If you wanna know any camera settings, feel free to ask :)

Those shots are amazing! I couldn't choose between your styles.

I've been reading your wedding threads & have really loved them, these ones really made my jaw drop.

Why does the girl in the green dress look like she has messed her nappy though ;)

I'm not sure I like the new style as much of the old style! :(

What I do get from the style is an Autumnal/Winter feeling that would suit weddings of those seasons but the vibrant colours from your previous set better suit Spring/Summer weddings...

Hope that makes sense. (PS this is not a criticism, I just love the vibrancy of your old style and I don't think the new style would have given the same wow factor as the old style in a lot of the shots in your 2011 wedding thread).

Ps. I'm no pro so just ignore all my comments :p

I would have to agree with this, although the new style is great it does definitely give off a slightly 'colder' atmosphere. It also kinda gives that aged vintage effect if you get what I mean?

Both are good styles but I prefer the previous style.

The above style is colder, appears older with the sephia whereas your original style feels warm, modern and young.

Thanks for the feed back guys :)

I don't intend to use this as a competition to my other processing style, it is just another preset I have made now which I can use when I feel it works.

Although leading from this one I got another idea in my head which I will need to play with again to see if I can execute it.

More to follow :)

*Although it may be a while, I had the above in my head about 6 months back and when i tried it back then I couldn't get it down, but last night something clicked and I made that literally under a minute (it was like I knew which slider I want to adjust), then spent 10minutes micro tweaking.

It's certainly different to your other processing, it's a bit "beige"... not that that's necessarily a bad thing! :)

Different indeed from your previous work, but it works very well! As you've said, it gives you options and that's never a bad thing, especially in wedding photography (!) For some reason, the new style feels very 'in' and 'now'. Impressive work as always Raymond! :)

Another new one....its similar to the one i used for Georgie's shoot but with a slight change.

I should not have applied it to wedding shots..

Because i really like it!

(I should really get back to real editing than playing with stuff too!)
