This was taken at the Autosport International show in Jan 2006. The colour version has always been one of my favourite pictures. But I though I'd try something a little different with it as I wanted to use part of the image on my business card and the colour version was too busy.

All done in about 30 minutes in PSP9 at work. I'm that bored at the moment.

I think I prefer the new version. Will have to try this on some other shots I've got that I've never been too keen on.

Any suggestions on what else to try?

Looks ok, I prefer the original tho.

What about the red on the ferrari, white on the mclaren and blue on the renault?

I think if you were going to do selective colouring the Ferrari would be the way to go or if you really liked the Benetton, get all of the colours instead of jst the yellow.

Is it a benetton?

I did try it with the yellow on the rear wing and the helmet, but the shade of yellow on the rear wing is just different enough to look awful once done. I could change it, but it was only a quick edit I did.

I was going to keep the i-mode logo on the top of the helmet, but I forgot when desaturating the rear wing *oops*

The main problem I have with the colour version is the background - it was a series of extremely large blowups of photo's of Monaco. Colours were very washed out and patchy - as you can see.

I did also try leaving only the blue, but blues and greys are a bit strange as they start to blend into each other I feel and it looked odd.

The yellow just stands out nicely I think.

No its a Renault.

I prefer the edit but it needs re-doing.

You have kept the yellow of the nose of the Renault. Why not keep it on the helment and rear spoilor sponser?

My Bad, hehe!

Just got Formula 1 one the PS3 after you said it was good, you wernt wrong there my friend! Is absolutely superb!

Hope you have fun with it when you get one!

I remember that exibit, it was my first proper outting with my (then) new D50.

Back on topic... I think I prefer the origional to the edited. I quite like that effect but I'm not too keen on the yellow. I'd also be tempted to blur the backdrop slightly, try to make it look slightly less flat
