Been using TV as monitor, got in today "No signal from PC"

I've had a nightmare ever since I bought the pc and I'm hoping its a tv error I feel like I've tried everything. Its connected by a vga cable and i came in today pc works fine num lock turns off but the tv says no signal through pc.

I've got a titan tanto and a Toshiba tv, the tv itself picks up tv and the pc responds to me pressing buttons cant for the life of me work out what to do.

Its my primary monitor, have no other monitor, tried turning off and on, leaving 30 minutes swapping cables ends around unplugging usb ports nothing works

I've been there and I know your pain!

Try a different cable, reseat your graphics card and check your motherboard for error codes. Just have to try and narrow it down as best as you can.

I used to have same problem with tv that connected to my PC stopped working. somehow my PC changed the setting on TV to different the resolution that cann't support on TV so i used another monitor as 2nd screen and set TV resolution back to 1080p

so it might be something you did before you log off and somehow it changed the screen resolution.

This is a good call. I've got a Samsung monitor that sometimes goes into permanent standby and changing the resolution in Windows seems to be the only way to wake it up.

@BenCannibal: It would be much easier to trouble shoot if you could (even temporarily) get hold of another monitor to test with.
