Ok my cousin passed over his computer to me because it was broken but when it opened turns on it beeps continuously. He doesn't know the specs

Yep that's jist of it no display on the monitor and the vga port looked a bit dodgy so I thought it was that but I ain't had a look inside it yet.

without some specs, you cant go to the motherboard manufacturers website and get the manual for the board to find out the meaning of the beeps.

Every mobo uses different beep codes, we need the mobo make and model to find out what it means for that one. The number will be on it some place but you are going to have to look for it. If it has loads of numbers start googling some until one points out which board.

Well I will narrow it down by a lot here it's amd. When I take a look at it I will give you the spec of it it. He said he wanted to be here to see it. So I have to wait for him

Only a quick message, how many ram slots are being used, also is there a external gpu or internal graphics being used.

Tried a CMOS reset just the BIOS has got it's self in a twist.

I'm pretty sure it's internal.

Really from what you have told us it could be anything. There is no standard beep code (dam wish there was), without knowing the mobo the beeping means nothing expect it is failing the post.

:D:D

Didn't get any beeps from my motherboard when I installed a dead stick of RAM in my PC last week. It booted up but failed to post. As others have said here it could be anything & the number of beeps are specific to the motherboard.

Here's something else that goes beep! :p
