Beep codes for ASUS P5B

Just trying to get an used ASUS P5B working, I'm getting 1 long & 3 short beeps.

According to various sites its the graphics card/memory.

Only trouble is both have just been removed from a working mobo.

I'm confused over the beep codes as the BIOS is (not sure) AMI and the

beep codes match AWARD BIOS.

Before I go ripping out parts from my other rigs to test it does any body know

for sure what the beeps are.

That seems to refer to a memory problem, try using just 1 stick in the first slot, if that doesn't work try another stick.

Tried both stick still the same, there both Ballistix & 9 months old so should be OK.

looks like I'll have to pull apart my other P5B tommorow!

Just tried it witout memory and got 1 long & 2 short

without graphix card 1 long 3 short followed by 1

its a mystery to me!
