Beep Codes

Can someone tell me if AwardBIOS provides a single beep on bootup to say everything is ok like a lot of PCs?

I ask because im trying to solve a problem and it makes a single beep and according to error codes any other beep apart from 1 long and 2 short is RAM - but im not sure.

Any help would be appreciated,

1 single beep is usually the signal that the computer is passing POST.
