I recently got a new case and made the move over. I was disappointed to find out that the machine would not POST inside this new case.
I have removed the motherboard from the case, reseated the cooler and I am trying to make it boot on a cardboard box (the one that my gfx card came in.)
I have stripped the machine down to the minimals (Mobo, CPU, HS, RAM and GFX.) I have also attatched a speaker from my old case to the mobo to hear beep codes. I managed to get 2 beep codes out of the machine by clearing the CMOS. The first was 1 long, 3 short. The second was 3 short which almost sound like 1. Does anyone know what these beeps codes are and what I can do about them? Google hasn't offered much help on this one.
My specs are as follows:
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Intel Q6700
2GB 1066MHz Crucial Ballistix
1KW Enermax Galaxy
BFG 980GX2.
