Beeping Noise

Hi All ive just made my new pc got the following components.

• OCZ 2Gb Ram
• Asus 650Sli socket 775 motherboard
• zalman cooler
• e6600 cpu
• 8800gtx graphics card
• fatality sound card

Installed OS without problem and everything except monitor (not connected to internet as dont know how to set it up ) most of the motherboard is installed deleted the audio one coz speakers werent working properly.

but whenever im idle or i turn offf the pc theres this long constant high pitched beep just wondering is there something ive done wrong not installed properly or internal problem :S.

On my motherboard when the pc's runnin theres a constant green light which i assume means that everything is ok if someone could help me out would be wicked thanks

i had the same problem as this, pc would crash with long continuous beep when the pc is idle (it was fine under load)and i thought it was a bad motherboard but after some investigating found it was usb keyboard/mice causing long continuous beep and crash, i changed to ps/2 connection and the problem is gone.

IF USB devices are the problem disable legacy support in the bios and then try it (assuming you have no legacy devices).
