beeps and stuff

hi guys, well i fianlly had the chance to try and build this system again with the new mboard. I've even enlisted the help of a friend, now at least i'm getting some beeps with it, although i don't seem to hear any when the graphics card is installed.

So without the graphics card i get 1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps, then shortly after i get 1 more beep, at the moment the cpu and heatsink is installed, 1 stick of ram, and that's it.

please help, it's been nearly two weeks since i've had this thing and i have not once seen this thing's BIOS!?!?!

but what about when the graphics card is in place, i get no beeps then! also i thought that 1 long and 3 short meant a dodgy graphics card, if so what do the 3 and sometimes just 2 quick beeps mean afterwards?
