Does anyone know much about these? I get a few ale polypins from the local brewery through the year and wouldnt mind attaching one to a hand pull beer engine. I believe this is possible if you buy the correct attachment from the polypin people which is available online but just need to know if there is a certain type of beer engine of will any working one off ebay do for the odd get together?

I've been looking at getting one so and the below links have a lot of info, be aware though that if you buy one off of eBay it appears to be a bit of a crapshoot without checking how old it is since being used etc, you can strip them down though but it can mean then replacing the seals.
Whatever you do though don't run near boiling water through it to clean though as it will knacker it!

EDIT: forgot to say to expect a lot of wastage that varies depending upon the model (1/4 or 1/2 pint usually left in the pump that can go stale), although there are models that only fill on the backstroke and there are ways around it (basically flushing out the last 1/4 or 1/2 pint at the end of your session - carefully architecting your setup can make this less of a pain and I will try and dig out the link where a guy did a great job in doing this).
