Driving back from a friends house tonight and had some drunk moron deciding it would be funny to lob a pint of beer at my car as I drove past. Need to get this crap off as soon as possible so it doesn't ruin the paint work. Thinking of taking it to a attended car wash like IMO but I've that those places ruin the paint by using dirty water and brushes. There are lots of hand washes here in Lincoln but I've never been to any so I'm a little weary of this.

Should I go with IMO or head to Halfords to get some car cleaner and do it myself?

It's beer. It's water and sugars with some alcohol that will have evaporated already.

Wash it off with some warm water, or leave it until it rains.

I'd be more concerned about the damage caused by the container holding the beer hitting the car. Was it a whole glass that was thrown?

Oh no, better stop and wash it right now. It'll strip your paint in no time, then it'll oxidise your metalwork in a matter of minutes. Sorry pal, it's too late, better buy a new car.

Hang on guys we can't really judge until we know all the facts? Was it a lager or an ale? IPA or a stout? Light and fruity or a rich red number? Good lager or fosters?

Plz respond, your paintwork is seriously at risk if they've gone the full Stella on you.

(Hose it off and get on with your life)

Do you need help wiping your butt as well, I can recommend some bog roll....

Serious think... Wash it off. Now if some drunk girl ****ed over ya bonnet, that would be cause for a thread. (if ya had pictures)

I'm confused, You don't want to use a carwash nor a hand car wash.

Yet you have no car cleaning products at your house?

What do you normally do if your cars dirty?

Guys, I drove through a puddle this morning and I can see some water marks on the paintwork  How much should I expect this to cost to sort at a reputable body shop? Am I going to need new panels?

This has come at a really bad time because only last night, some rain attacked my car and it washed away all the shines I put on it the day before.
