Hey,

I have a W960i on an Orange contract, and use hotmail and a university student email account.

I know nothing about getting email setup, but would very much like to have it.

- How do I set these up?
- Do I pay to write email?
- Do I pay to access email?
- Do I pay for every email that is sent to me?

I know nothing about these POP settings etc. so a real idiots guide would be appreciated thanks!

email will come off your data allowance. so depends what type of package you have with your phone provider for data ???

generally you either pay per megabyte or you have a plan like £so much per month for whatever you do (unlimited, kind of)

check with orange what you have..

hotmail does not allow pop3 access any more (unless you have a very old account which still allows it)

that aside, to set up email you will need:

pop servers mail details (incoming and outgoing)
your username (your email address)
your password (that you use to get your email)
some systems will need to tick other options like "my outgoing server requires authentication" but this will depend on your email system that you are on and you will need to look for a setup guide for this info..

if this doesnt make sense, ask away.

for your uni email, youll need to ask them what the pop servers are

for hotmail, usually when you set up email you can say its hotmail and it automatically sets it as http email for you... slightly different to pop settings.
